Rosacea and Lupus Rash there are two similar but different skin diseases. Although the symptoms may seem similar, there are home remedies for rosacea that can help control it. In the case of lupus, it almost always manifests itself with other serious symptoms such as fever, mouth ulcers, hair loss, and other symptoms that do not occur with rosacea. That is why if symptoms occur beyond the redness of the face, you should go immediately to the doctor to rule out Lupus disease.

Lupus rash, unlike rosacea, is very rare to present bumps and pimples and usually manifests not only rash on the face, also affects the chest, neck, arms and other parts of the body.

Lupus is a very serious and internal disease and rosacea manifests externally and with care, Rosacea can be controlled.

Now we are going to focus on tips and home remedies for rosacea.

Rosacea is a chronic skin disease that mainly affects the face, develops mainly on the cheeks, but can spread to the forehead, nose, chin, ears, around the eyes, neck and chest. At first, the redness appears intermittently, but later its appearance is more constant and more noticeable. You can also see the appearance of papules, small purulent pimples, and dilated blood vessels.

Rosacea tends to manifest more in women between 35 and 50 years of white skin, but that does not mean that men cannot suffer from this skin disease.

Rosacea is a progressive condition and although it is controlled, tends to manifest itself more when the person:

– It is exposed to extreme temperatures

– Consume excessive coffee and alcohol

– Does a lot of sport

– Feel ashamed

– Is exposed to the sun for a long time

– Is going through stressful situations

– Eat spicy foods.

There are things in life that get out of control or simply cannot be avoided, such as the weather, but as much as possible, these factors should be avoided so that the redness of the skin does not manifest.

Coconut oil

Coconut oil is made up of saturated fatty acids, antioxidants, vitamins, and essential nutrients for healthy skin. It is best to consume 100% pure, virgin, cold-pressed organic coconut oil. This oil has many benefits for beauty and health.

One of the causes for which rosacea may occur is excess consumption of fats of animal origin, it is better to substitute butter, milk, cheese, etc. by coconut oil to promote the reduction of inflammation of the blood vessels, especially when irritation is present.

Turmeric has multiple benefits. It is one of the strongest natural anti-inflammatories that exist. Its antioxidants will help reduce the inflammation caused by rosacea.

Make a habit of drinking turmeric tea frequently and you can add honey to soften the taste and make the natural remedy more effective.

Salmon is rich in omega 3 and essential nutrients.

Limit  the consumption of red meat as this promotes inflammation throughout the body. Replace it better with the consumption of fish, especially salmon, since due to its properties it is one of the best fish for your health.

Medically there is no cure for rosacea, but there are natural and medical treatments that help control it. Most of the people who suffer from this skin disease, prefer home remedies to control rosacea, but there are times when it is necessary to go to medicine, creams and alternative treatments.

One of the most commonly offered treatments by doctors and dermatologists is metronidazole. The latter is prescribed as a gel, cream or lotion. It is used for its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. In some cases, oral antibiotics such as tetracycline and minocycline will also be given. Steroid creams can also be used, but only for short periods of time and strictly prescribed by doctors, as they can make rosacea symptoms worse if not administered correctly. Any medical treatment, even being topical, should be recommended by a professional after evaluating the condition of your skin.

Now, if you don’t want to use the medical options, there will always be a home remedy for rosacea!

Cucumber mask

Green Tea

As soon as you notice that the skin on your face is turning red or inflamed, apply a honey mask to your face for 15 minutes, then rinse with water and repeat once a week.

Honey has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties that will help reduce and relieve redness. In addition, honey helps repair damaged skin and hides scars.

Thanks to honey, you can eliminate present symptoms and prevent future attacks.

Cucumber mask

Cucumber has moisturizing properties and can help facial skin to reduce the size of blood vessels, therefore the redness caused by rosacea will gradually diminish.

Lie down and apply freshly cut cucumber slices to your face. Leave them on for 10 minutes before rinsing off.

Apply this mask once or twice a week when redness appears. If you do not have irritation or inflammation on the skin, you can apply this mask once a month.

Aloe Vera is one of the most widely used medicinal plants for natural facial care. Aloe has many health and beauty benefits.

If is possible, open an aloe leaf and apply a small amount to the redness, this will reduce the inflammation. Once the symptoms disappear, it is advisable to apply aloe vera to your face twice a month to prevent symptoms from reappearing.

If you can’t get natural aloe vera, you can apply it on your face *****

Oatmeal has softening and healing properties. You can make a mask by dry grinding oatmeal and adding a little water to form a paste. Then apply it to your face, leave it for 20 minutes and rinse with fresh water.

Green Tea

Green tea contains catechins whose anti-inflammatory and protective properties, including antioxidants, will help improve the condition of your skin.

In a period of redness of the face due to rosacea, green tea can be drunk and is also excellent if applied with a cotton ball on the affected areas. The ingredients in green tea will limit inflammation of the skin.

When you apply any mask or treatment to your face and rinse it, NEVER rub your face with the towel to dry it, just gently touch your face with the towel so that you do not further damage the blood vessels in your face.

Since people with rosacea generally have a very sensitive face, it is very important that before applying any oil to the face, a test is done to ensure that you are not allergic by applying a little on your hand. This should be done at least 24 hours before applying to the face.

Melaleuca oil

Serves to tone and helps with skin irritation. Apply one to three drops to the affected area.

Organic lavender oil.

The antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties of this oil will favor the reduction of the size of the blood vessels to make them less visible. You can apply two or three drops to the irritated area.

If the irritation and inflammation of your face continues to appear after applying these remedies, consult your doctor or dermatologist for help in finding the most appropriate treatment.

I have suffered from rosacea since 2008 and it had been a constant struggle that came and went. Two years ago my dermatologist recommended applying Ivermectin cream 1% twice a day to my face. This medicine, in combination with a Revitol cream that I use daily, has helped me a lot in reducing my symptoms.

I frequently consume green  and turmeric tea, in fact I drink them daily 😊

I avoid steam on my face or places that are suffocated or hot.

I DO NOT USE MAKEUP, I only use a Demoiselle Rice Power on my face and at this point, it’s only sell it in Mexico. It is the only thing that I have been able to put on my face since I was 15 years old, and the truth is, I have not been able to use another brand. My face is very delicate and does not accept another type of dust or coverage. That powder not only covers the blemishes on my face, it prevents my skin from getting oily. 😊

Most days my face looks completely normal, but I do feel affected by the hot air and the cold air on my face. However, months can go by without my face burning or itching, and when it appears, it disappears immediately

I hope that the home remedies and tips that I have presented here will be very useful for you to control this skin disease.
